@DeadWolfBones: great stuff as usual

@majod: mythdat also mentioned Micro Four Thirds and, as an user myself, I think they're awesome. But I don't think it will suit your needs as well. Kind of the same situation as with the Samsung. Hope you find the right camera for you, tough.

Moving on, a few recent shots:

Also I'm hearing all over the place Neymar is now a Barça player because of 28 million euros. Is it true? I really hope they know what they're doing...

Meh. Neymar is a good player, but not nearly as good as he thinks. He is a very talented diver, though.

Seriously now, if even the Brazilian press is annoyed by that, I wonder how would it be if he played the German or English leagues. I guess it would be interesting to watch. Maybe he even "man up", would be great for our national team.

From what I see/hear, he doesn't seem too eager to leave, anyway.

I also think Mancini had to leave.

Last week I went to an anime event or whatever that was, and took some shockingly bad pics.

The whole thing is here.

Nice thread.

Brazilian beer is usually pilsen and tastes like a low quality piss. But there's still some quality small breweries (Baden Baden, Colorado are two of my favorites).

This is my favorite by far, Baden Baden Golden Ale:

Highly recommended. Not sure how available it would be for you outsiders, though.

On a side note, and since it's related to football, let me rant a little bit:

Rio 2016 Olympics: stadium clo ... initely over safety fears

That stadium was built for the 2007 Pan American Games. It cost 6 times the initial budget.

How embarrassing is that?

Our national football team being currently awful is the least of our problems. We lack any infrastructure (with no hope for 2014) and one of our most modern stadiums will probably implode on its own weight.
All stadiums being built now are either in remote areas where there are no leagues (and thus serving only for local corruption) or are way overpaid, serving for local corruption. Our legacy from the WC will be rich people richer, more taxes and a few more infinite debts.

We can't take anything seriously, hopefully producing one of the worst World Cup ever and being laugh at by the entire globe will sparkle something positive on us Brazilians.

Quote from The Moose :Glad you enjoyed it!

If you haven't seen it yet, check out another of his films Baraka

Equally stunning.

I certainly will.

Quote from The Moose :Samsara

Just watch it, preferably in the highest definition on the biggest screen available to you.

Best thing I've seen all year. I only wish I'd caught it at the cinema.

Thanks for that, Moose. I decided to follow your recommendation (including high definition and high quality panel and sound) and I've gotta say, this is simply brilliant.

As I read somewhere else, it's a thin line between astonishing beauty and utter hell.

Good fight from Arsenal, but I didn't think they played all that well. The other side was a bit... uninterested, to say the least.

Also, Málaga are doing great, aren't they? :]

Sorry guys, but I'll skip this season.

I lost the confirmation mail (probably deleted in the spam mess) and I just can't seem to find the motivation to register again with another email. I didn't like the way this one does things as well. No offense meant, I know you guys did your best.

Have fun!

Seems I can't get subscribed to this thread, so I'll have to post something.

Force India still to announce their second driver?

A few from me:

I had a go at Scarface, but didn't find it as good as I wanted it to be. Still good, though.

Dredd was kind of fun, even if "more of the same".

Intouchables was incredible, highly recommended.

Quote from Boris Lozac :I'm sorry that this is considered offtopic on a forum where huehuehuehueh is funny, and there are threads called "K". I think stuff like this are quality discussions.. And that common sense line is partly joke

Nah, the 'swearing' wasn't about the off-topicness. I think it's nice every now and then. Hell, even my post was almost completely off-topic.

It's actually the subject of the discussion that I find terrifying.

Damn, I go to work and when I get back I want to relax and read about films and opinions. Then this happens. WTF.

I don't want to discuss anything 'cause I'm tired and with a severe lack of motivation, but just so I'm part of it:

- "if more people had as much common sense as i do, this world would be a great place."
(actually no amount of s can express what I feel about this line)

- I could argue there's a lot of math in just about everything (but specifically movies, if they have anything to do with what happens in photography - I know I suck but I've read stuff )

- I quite liked Unbreakable (agreed on the great atmosphere)

- xaotik's posts are awesome

Thanks, moving on now.

FIFA Club World Cup now.

The first semifinal is done, Brazil's Corinthians won against Egypt's Al Ahly in a very un-entertaining match, by 1-0.

I don't know if it's the weight of being there and not doing what Internacional did two years earlier (losing their first match when they thought they were much better), but the players seemed heavy, even fearful.
You gotta bear in mind that for us this is the highest a club can reach, while the Europeans don't seem to care that much.

Still it's nice to see teams so different playing.

Chelsea and Monterrey (MEX) tomorrow, the winner will play Corinthians at the final, on Sunday.

I'm enjoying it so far.

Quote from Boris Lozac :He's fantastic but i just find no joy in watching him, so charactherless, emotionless.. He's like a machine, maybe i will hate myself in some years by thinking like that but it's the truth.. I find much more joy in watching players like Ibrahimovic, CR, Ozil, Neymar, Ronaldinho etc..

That's true, but I find myself cheering everytime he's running and the other players are pulling and pushing him, trying to bring him to ground, and he just keeps going on like a tank.

While the other players you cited (notably CR and Neymar) would just dive at the slightest contact (which is annoying because Neymar's best happens when he keeps going).

Just my thoughts, of course.

So he did it, afterall. That's 86 goals in 65 matches, pretty insane stuff. I won't even dig up how many assists he did, I bet that would be insane as well.

Easily the best football player I've seen in my life.
